Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale is a American professional player who plays for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Wings were drafted with five selections in the 2019 WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale, born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2 1997. She was the second child of Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale, who is 26 years old, is her brother. Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years of age. Being the youngest of her siblings, she was the most spoiled one by her parents. Gregory was the Nigerian Army officer for a length of time. Ogunbowale grew within a family that was busy. Her mother Yolanda was a softball player at DePaul as was her brother Dare used to be an athlete in football. Her aunt played volleyball at UAPB and their cousin Endia Oliver also plays volleyball on the field at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale has been in the honor roll at her school for three years in a row. Alongside her fame, she's won numerous honors from her studies. Arike graduated at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School which is within the town of Arike's birthplace. In addition to studying Arike also played on three varsity teams while at Divine Holy Angels Savior High School. Ogunbowale's extraordinary abilities helped her school winning stunning victories numerous times. Her high school career was compiled with 73 starts and 1,477 points in her career and 739 career rebounds. Ogunbowale was crowned gold at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships, 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships. On July 7, 2014, Ogunbowale made the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also named to the ACC All-Freshman Team following her first year of collegiate basketball. The coach even thanked Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant after she hit several big shots at the NCCA Tournament.
