LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball player who is a player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. James is known for his role as King James and is considered to be among the greatest basketball players of all time. James has been awarded four NBA championships, four NBA MVPs Three All-Star MVPs, along with 2 Olympic medals. James has the highest points in the playoffs and has the second highest number of career points and is the seventh player with the most assists in his career. James has been named to be an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times, and was named for his place on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. The third-highest number of NBA Finals ever was ten, with eight being consecutive between 2011 and 2018. James has been chosen for his place on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player to have scored 10,000+ points, rebounds, and assists throughout his career. He will be the first to do so in 2022. James played for St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. The school was recognized by national media as the next NBA superstar. He was a top pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the first pick of the NBA draft in 2003. He was voted one of the NBA most promising rookie in the 2004. He soon became one of the best athletes of the NBA and was awarded both the NBA MVP Award both as of 2009 and in 2010. James was not able to secure the award with Cleveland, and left the city with the status of an "free agent" in 2010. The move was revealed in the TV special The Decision.
